Social Enterprise: a business venture that seeks to serve a social mission while utilizing traditional for-profit models and markets.
Day 2 of JVA’s Social Enterprise Academy was full of nitty-gritty brainstorming, really starting to build the foundation of our ideas for ventures that can generate revenue and social change.
A few questions posed to us by JVA’s trainers during the planning process that I’ve been thinking about:
- Customer Relationships: How are you going to catch and keep your “customers”?
- Channels: How do you plan on getting your “product” to your consumers, on what platforms?
- Differentiating Factors: What sets you apart from the rest?
We took in a lot of information today. But I ended the day with a solid beginning to a business model and that feels great. It feels good to do good…and make money in the process.
