Description:
The purpose of this program is to support pediatricians to build broad-based community partnerships to address unmet child health needs. Funding will support pediatricians or fellowship trainees for the initial implementation of, or to pilot, innovative and community-based initiatives that will increase children’s access to optimal health or well-being. Projects must meet the following requirements:
  1. Be new in the applicant’s community
  2. Provide services and/or outreach to children in the community, not just those served in the applicant’s practice
  3. Include plans for community partnerships, including partnerships with such individuals, groups, and organizations as grassroots associations, parents, caregivers or family members, faith-based groups, local businesses, local public health service agencies, non-governmental health agencies, and hospitals
  4. Include clearly described methods for measurement of project goals and objectives
