Description:
The purpose of this program is to improve public health systems and infrastructure by supporting performance improvement practice, increasing innovation in response to systems challenges, and supporting progress toward meeting national public health standards among local, tribal, and state health departments. Rather than monetary awards, this program will provide technical assistance to strengthen cross-jurisdictional partnerships among local, tribal, and state health entities to develop and implement a shared public health systems improvement action plan. This program intends to address such challenges as rural coordination, infrastructure, capacity development, enforcement of public health laws, and alignment of assessments and plans.
