Description:
The purpose of this program is to monitor and prevent lead exposure in children less than six years of age, to address lead hazards and eliminate childhood lead poisoning as a public health problem. This program will provide funding and technical assistance to support projects that reduce childhood lead exposure and lead poisoning by strengthening blood lead level testing, strengthening surveillance, and strengthening targeted population-based interventions. Projects must also have processes in place to identify lead-exposed children and link them to recommended services.
