Description:
The purpose of this program is to preserve Colorado’s historic properties by providing flexible, competitive-rate financing for historic rehabilitation projects and acquiring historically designated properties. Loans may be used to help manage cash flow for construction, as well as to supplement grant awards, rehabilitation tax credits, and private investment.
Specific loan uses include preservation, rehabilitation, restoration, or adaptive reuse projects adhering to the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for the Treatment of Historic Buildings, which are considered preservation best practices. The Standards for the Treatment of Historic Buildings are attached as the Standards file. Loans may also be used for the acquisition of a historically designated property in Colorado.
