Description:
The purpose of this program is to increase postsecondary credential completion and the preparedness of Colorado students to earn a livable wage, graduate with less debt, and positively contribute to economic growth. The program will help Colorado counties, public institutions of higher education, and local workforce boards and coalitions increase their capacity to assist students with tuition and college completion. Awards will provide matching funds for the establishment of local scholarship programs, and may be used only for tuition assistance. The program seeks to create a strong network of career and college readiness programs across the state, and to increase the amount of total scholarship giving available to students for certificate, associate’s degree, and bachelor’s degree programs.
