Deadline: 3/30/2020
Amount: $750,000 max
Description:
The purpose of this program is to identify and more accurately define the extent of local-scale hazardous air pollutant (HAP) impacts by supporting community-scale projects to assess conditions at the local level, and supporting existing state and local program monitoring. Air toxics of particular interest to the funding agency include ethylene oxide, chloroprene, benzene, 1,3-butadiene, and metals, such as hexavalent chromium, nickel, and arsenic.
Proposed projects must be designed to assist state, local, and tribal air agencies in identifying and characterizing air toxics, also known as HAPs, through work that falls under only one of the following program components:
  1. (Part A): Community-Scale Monitoring
  2. (Part B): Evaluating New and Emerging Testing Methods for Air Toxics
  3. (Part C): Analyzing Existing Air Toxics Data and Developing or Enhancing Analytical, Modeling, and/or Implementation Tools
  4. (Part E): Near-Source Monitoring
