Amount: $2,000 to $5,000
The purpose of this program is to provide funding for improvements at K-12 public and charter schools. Projects must either support technology upgrades; tools for science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) programs; facility renovations; or safety improvements. The funding agency seeks projects that provide tools to help educators and parent groups through educational challenges by providing the greatest impact, with basic necessities taking priority.
For the fall cycle of FY 2017/2018, this program will only award small-sized grants.
Eligible activities may include:
  • Reading gardens and vegetable gardens
  • Physical fitness areas
  • School landscaping or nature trail projects
  • Parent involvement centers
  • Peer tutoring centers
  • Playgrounds
  • Rotating student art exhibits
