Description:
The purpose of this program is to support people’s movements for justice and liberation. The funding agency distributes resources to frontline communities at the forefront of social change while amplifying their stories of building a better world. The funding agency supports grassroots action, specifically the activists on the ground doing the work.
Supported applicants will be those that organize, base-build, and direct action and cultural organizing for structural social and economic change. The funding agency also intends to support groups that actively build new systems and provide alternatives to the systems against which they fight, and groups that are creating through arts, cultural work, and creative resilience building.
All award recipients must:
  • Work within an ecology of social justice, and be aware of how their work fits into the greater whole
  • Have an intersectional/cross-issue analyses
  • Work actively against white and Christian supremacy, capitalism, gender and sexual oppression, and all forms of patriarchy
  • Be led by those most affected by structural oppression
