Description:
The purpose of this program is to support K-12 schools and youth-serving organizations in creating more opportunities for students to engage in hands-on and interdisciplinary learning through making and to create innovative solutions to important local and global problems. This program will support innovative approaches to maker education by providing funding that may be used for a variety of purposes, including materials and equipment, structural improvements, additional professional development, projects for students, impact and assessment research, or community outreach and engagement. In addition, this program will also provide professional development packages to attend the funding agency’s annual Pathfinders Summer Institute, as well as travel support to attend the funding agency’s annual CrossRoads conference.
