Description:

The purpose of this funding opportunity is to verify the effectiveness of SNP innovative policies created during COVID-19 in order to improve health indicators among those served or the capacity of organizations to provide services. Project goals and outcomes must relate to the OAA SNP intents (specifically: 1) reduce hunger, food insecurity and malnutrition, 2) promote socialization (socialization approaches enhance the opportunity for human connection), and 3) promote health and well-being by delaying the onset of adverse health conditions, through the provision of meals and associated nutrition services to vulnerable older adults who are in greatest social and economic need.).

Eligible applicants:

State governments, County governments, City or township governments, Special district governments, Independent school districts, Public and State controlled institutions of higher education, Native American tribal governments (Federally recognized), Public housing authorities/Indian housing authorities, Native American tribal organizations (other than Federally recognized tribal governments), Nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education, Private institutions of higher education
