Description:
The purpose of this program is to make sustainable investments that address critical needs in communities where the International Paper Company’s employees live and work. Funding will support projects that fall under one of the following signature causes:
  1. Education: projects under this category must focus on helping children succeed via a comprehensive approach to education, with a primary focus on literacy, particularly from birth through 3rd grade
  2. Hunger: projects under this category must involve food banks and other agencies that address hunger and food security for children, families, and seniors by providing meals, access to healthy foods, and other programs
  3. Health and wellness: projects under this category must promote healthy living habits and achieve measurable improvements in health and wellness
  4. Disaster relief: projects under this category must help communities prepare for, and recover from, natural disasters
In general, eligibility is limited to applicants located in communities where the International Paper Company has a significant employee presence and that are within a locally determined radius of facility operations.
