Description:
The purpose of this program is to have a significant impact on improving the optimal health of adolescents and reducing teen pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections (STIs) through saturation of communities with the greatest needs and disparities using a systems thinking approach to replicate effective programs with fidelity. For the purpose of this program, the factors involved in the problem, relationship among these factors, and the patterns of behavior identified are considered the “system” within a systems thinking approach. Projects may serve a single community, multiple communities, or specific population(s) within a defined community that demonstrate the greatest need for resources. The target population for funded projects should be adolescents 19 years of age or under at the time of program entry.
