Description:
The purpose of this program is to support the rehabilitation of historic properties of significance at the national, state, and local level in order to rehabilitate, protect, and foster economic development of rural communities. This program will fund physical preservation projects for historic sites, including architectural/engineering services and physical preservation. Projects must address the following Department of the Interior (DOI) priorities:
  1. Modernizing our infrastructure: removing impediments to infrastructure development and facilitating private sector efforts to construct infrastructure projects serving American needs
  2. Restoring trust with local communities: expanding the lines of communication with governors, state natural resource offices, fish and wildlife offices, water authorities, county commissioners, tribes, and local communities
