Description:
The purpose of this program is to support efforts or activities aimed at recruiting new foster and adoptive parents or supporting the retention of foster families. Applicants are highly encouraged to align their application with their diligent recruitment plans, and applicants that do so will be prioritized in funding decisions.
Examples of eligible projects include:
  1. Staff training on recruitment and customer service for the purposes of retention
  2. Marketing and communication tools, such as website improvements, brochures, and videos
  3. Advertising, including out-of-home advertising as well as digital advertising
  4. Recruitment and/or retention events
  5. Activities that target unique audiences and communities identified as a recruitment need in the county’s or child placement agency’s diligent recruitment plan
  6. Child-specific recruitment strategies
  7. Child care or respite
  8. Coaching, support groups, and mentoring programs for foster parents
  9. Parents’ night out events
  10. Family activities
  11. Education or ongoing training
