Children are now constantly faced with unhealthy eating options and sedentary lifestyles. Consequently, the rate of obesity among U.S. children and teenagers has more than tripled over the past three decades. Offering programs to teach them healthy habits has never been more important, but often these programs don’t get the funding or support they need. The Saucony Run For Good Foundation strives to change that, and is deeply committed to reversing these alarming trends by providing increased opportunities for youth to enjoy the benefits of running as well as a healthier lifestyle. To date, the Saucony Run For Good Foundation has donated over $1 million to causes aimed at keeping kids healthy. By providing support to community organizations with the purpose of promoting running and fitness programs for children, the Saucony Run For Good Foundation is able fulfill its mission of improving the lives of today’s youth by helping to reduce serious health concerns that are related to childhood obesity.
