Deadline: Ongoing

Amount: $5,000-$40,000 (typical grant size: $10,000-$25,000)

At The Summit Foundation, we are dedicated to the fabric of our community—namely, the families and individuals that live, work, and make Summit County a great place to live.

As the largest philanthropic organization in the county, the Summit Foundation is proud to collaborate with its community partners in order to make an impact on those who are most in need of our support. At The Summit Foundation, we prioritize local nonprofits located within Summit County or at the neighboring communities of Lake, Park and West Grand Counties by:

  1. Making strategic grants
  2. Offering workshops and one-on-one assistance through our Nonprofit Resources for Grantees program
  3. Connecting donors to the needs in our community

The Summit Foundation’s Global Giving Fund was established in 2015 by former Trustee and community philanthropist, Rob Millisor. The Fund allows support for groups of Summit County volunteers who are involved in international humanitarian efforts. We know that these experiences can be extremely meaningful and life-changing for those who reside within our respective communities; therefore, the Global Giving Fund is especially interested in Summit County nonprofit organizations promoting local volunteerism, as well as international projects which are focused on these three areas of impact:

  1. Bright Futures—Academic Achievement, Youth Development, Recreation, Early Childhood
  2. Environment—Conservation, Restoration
  3. Art & Culture—Access to Arts Education
  4. Healthy & Safe Communities—Basic Needs, Mental Health, Supportive Healthcare Services

**NOTE: Applications are accepted throughout the year, but must be submitted a minimum of two weeks prior to the start of the project. Please reach out to the Global Giving Fund’s Program Manager, Tara Dew, to get your application started (contact information provided below under “Program Contact”).
