If you have been working with Joining Vision and Action (JVA) for a while, you may recognize my name from my Ask Amber blog series that appeared in the JVA 411. If you are new to Joining Vision and Action, allow me to introduce myself—my name is Amber Alarid and I worked at JVA in various roles from 2011 to 2015. In the fall of 2015 I decided to return to me alma mater—Regis University—to work in their Office of Alumni Engagement and pursue my Masters in Nonprofit Management. Today, my friends at JVA were gracious enough to allow me to return as a guest blogger.

In my new role as an Alumni Engagement Officer and also a student, I am fortunate to maintain great ties to the nonprofit community. One of the ways that I maintain those ties is through events hosted by Regis to unite our alumni, current students, and community members. I’m honored to invite all of you to one such event, happening on September 9. This event in particular is very special, as it is honoring the Masters in Nonprofit Management’s 25th Anniversary.

A Quarter Century of Giving Back: 25 years of the Nonprofit Management Program at Regis University , will highlight a few of the many distinguished alumni and faculty members from the program through panels, awards, and speeches. Our keynote speaker this year is a 2000 MNM graduate, fellow Joining Vision and Action alum, and the current President and CEO of the Denver Foundation, Christine Marquez-Hudson.

Whether you’re new to the nonprofit world and looking for meaningful networking opportunities, or you’re an established nonprofit professional wanting to support your peers, this event is an incredible opportunity to bring the Colorado nonprofit world together in celebration. All are welcome, the event is not limited to Regis student/graduates. Please feel free to share this event with other social sector employees, volunteers, and board members.

You can read more about this free event and RSVP online. We hope to see you there!
