One of the many valuable parts of Social Enterprise Academy is the fact that we have had the chance each day to work and present our pitches for our prospective ventures.

Just a few of the pointers that have been realized by all involved:

  • Be confident and passionate, nothing will speak to potential investors or community members like being invested and excited in what you’re doing.
  • Be pragmatic, find what it is within your pitch that is going to be a crowd pleaser and potentially lead investors to invest or community members to buy into your mission.
  • Demonstrate a very clear understanding of who you are intending to serve, know what the need is in that population and what goals you intend to hit. There is no substitute for being aware and engaged.

Friday we will be pitching our ventures to social capital investors. Bring it on, Friday.
