Description:
The purpose of this program is to support grassroots groups working on environmental health and justice issues by building leadership, increasing capacity, and/or providing training and education. The program is designed to reach people from low-wealth communities and communities of color who are impacted by environmental harms. Grassroots communities of color, low-wealth, rural, and urban groups are encouraged to apply.
Eligible activities include:
  1. Board development
  2. Fundraising efforts
  3. Training leaders to go door-to-door
  4. Educational activities that are directly connected to applicants’ strategic plans
  5. Membership outreach
  6. Meeting to develop organizing/strategic plans
  7. Events that are part of a strategic plan
  8. General events
