Description:
The purpose of this program is to support grassroots groups working on environmental health and justice issues by building leadership, increasing capacity, and/or providing training and education. The program is designed to reach people from low-wealth communities and communities of color who are impacted by environmental harms. Grassroots communities of color, low-wealth, rural, and urban groups are encouraged to apply.
Eligible activities include:
- Board development
- Fundraising efforts
- Training leaders to go door-to-door
- Educational activities that are directly connected to applicants’ strategic plans
- Membership outreach
- Meeting to develop organizing/strategic plans
- Events that are part of a strategic plan
- General events
