Description:

The purpose of this program is to provide general operating support to organizations that have experienced the cancellation of their public humanities activities due to a decrease or loss of revenue, programming opportunities, paid staff, or venues as a result of COVID-19. The program seeks to provide much-needed support to the Colorado public humanities sector to meet the emergency needs of organizations and help mitigate the effects of closures.

For the purposes of this program, general operating support is considered any essential expense to keep the organization functioning, including rent, salaries, utilities, and other monthly expenses. Award recipients may use these unrestricted general operating support funds toward any urgent needs resulting from COVID-19 to support the capacity for continued implementation of public humanities activities.
