Description:

The Colorado Trust has a one-time funding opportunity available to Colorado-based nonprofits in one of the following categories:

Arts and cultural organizations that

a) have been adversely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, and

b) have Black, Indigenous and people of color (BIPOC) leadership; or

Youth athletics organizations that

a) have been adversely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, and

b) whose participants are majority BIPOC youth.

These organizations must meet the following criteria:

  1. Have a 501(c)(3) designation or a fiscal sponsor
  2. Have an established or existing enrichment program (e.g., leadership, academics and/or life skills)
  3. Ability to document through a brief written narrative (maximum of one page) how the organization has been negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, and how the funds will improve economic sustainability and promote the organization’s programmatic longevity.

The grant narrative in the application should include how the organization’s activities align with social determinants of health and The Colorado Trust’s vision of achieving health equity for all Coloradans. Funds cannot be used for new programs, capital campaigns, political campaigns, voter registration drives, or clinical or medical research studies. Completed applications should be emailed to Genina Taylor of The Colorado Trust and must be received by January 14, 2022 (with awards notification expected by February 28, 2022).

Eligible applicants:

Colorado organizations that have 501(c)(3) nonprofit tax status or a fiscal sponsor, and whose work is aligned with The Colorado Trust’s health equity vision.
