The purpose of this program is to enhance the safety of the public and firefighters with respect to fire and fire-related hazards.
Funding will be provided for the following program components:
- (Part A): General Program
- (Part B): Fire Prevention and Safety (FP&S) Grant Program: Fire Prevention and Safety (FP&S) Activity
- (Part C): Fire Prevention and Safety (FP&S) Grant Program: Firefighter Safety Research and Development (R&D) Activity
The purpose of the Fire Prevention and Safety (FP&S) Grant Program: Firefighter Safety Research and Development (R&D) Activity component is to improve firefighter safety, health, and wellness through research and development that reduces firefighter fatalities and injuries.
