Description:
The G.A.P. (Grand Activities & Programs) Fund was established to provide financial assistance with participation fees for non academic activities to full time resident Grand County youth between the ages of birth and 18 years of age. Funding is is intended to provide youth under the age of eighteen with the opportunity to participate in activities that may not otherwise be financially possible, and awarded grants will be decided upon based on need, inclusive of income, family dynamics and unforeseen circumstance. The G.A.P. fund utilizes the Grand County Census for an average household income for a single child family of $65,000 as its gauge of funding. Grand Foundation staff is available to assist with completing the application. Please do not hesitate to contact us for any questions or help.
Eligible applicants:
Funding must be provided to organizations in Grand County. Restrictions include:
– Any awarded funding is paid directly from the Fund to the organization providing the activities and/or services. The Fund cannot pay individuals directly.
– Requests for activities or programs already completed will not be considered for funding.
– No funds will be used to participate in any political campaign, on behalf of any political campaign, or on behalf of any issues or candidates.
– The Fund will not cover travels expenses, such as food or hotel costs. Funds cover program fees only.
