Description:

The foundation believes in working with communities to make good happen. It’s core to who we are and what we want to be. We also recognize we can’t do any of the hard work alone, but instead, must do it together, with you, our community. That’s why we’re offering this funding opportunity to help our neighbors be more connected to each other, and us. The foundation’s goal is to better understand how people from neighborhoods with higher concentrations of poverty in Jeffco can get involved in social networks, associations, or organizations to improve their community. Our funding will support two primary activities:

  1. Resident Training/Development: Support for efforts to build leadership, advocacy, or other skills for local residents to become more active on issues important to their community
  2. Community Engagement: Support for organizations working to increase or improve their levels of community engagement among people living in neighborhoods with the highest concentration of poverty
