Description:
The purpose of the program is to support coordinated community responses to hold offenders accountable and serve victims of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking. New and continuation applicants are eligible to apply. The ICJR Program encourages state, local, and tribal governments and courts to treat domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking as serious violations of criminal law requiring the coordinated involvement of the entire criminal justice system. The Improving Criminal Justice Responses Program includes 24 purpose areas.
