Description:
The purpose of this program is to provide children in preschool through grade 8 from disadvantaged populations with access to fiction and non-fiction books. To achieve this goal, the program will support book acquisition for organizations that operate lending bookmobiles that travel into neighborhoods populated by underserved youth.
Program funding must be used specifically for book purchases. The purchased books are to be available for checkout by young people for pleasure reading or as a source of information for school assignments.
