Description:
The purpose of this program is to make the arts available in more communities and to offer the public access to a greater and richer variety of arts experiences by supporting partnership agreements with state arts agencies (SAAs) and regional arts organizations (RAOs).
Partnership agreements issued through this program will allow award recipients to address the following objectives of the funding agency:
- The creation of art that meets the highest standards of excellence
- Public engagement with, and access to, various forms of excellent art across the nation
- Learning in the arts at all ages of life
- Activities that integrate the arts into the fabric of community life
- Promotion of public knowledge and understanding about the contributions of the arts
The purpose of the Regional Partnership Grant Program component is to strengthen the effectiveness and efficiency of the national arts infrastructure by supporting partnership agreements with RAOs. Partnership agreements will enable RAOs to address priorities identified at the regional level, as well as the objectives of the funding agency.
