This project is intended to delve into the victim service gaps and barriers that exist within the post-conviction setting from the perspective of legal professionals and how they interact with each other and the criminal justice system as a whole. A complete and thorough mapping of processes should yield information on gaps, barriers and opportunities for collaboration that currently exist and provide guidance and recommendations on how a more integrated service delivery system may be developed to better address the rights of victims and survivors of crime. This competitive solicitation will fund the development of a white paper based on a mapping session and other information gathering efforts that will fully explore the issues that affect victims and survivors in a post-conviction setting. NIC will provide funding and support for the mapping session and for participant attendance. The successful awardee will also produce recommendations based on the session and other information and research to afford the most comprehensive product possible.
