Description:

The purpose of this program is to provide financial assistance to improve the economic condition of rural areas through cooperative development. Award recipients must establish and operate centers for cooperative development. Centers must assist individuals or entities in the start-up, expansion, or operational improvement of rural businesses, especially cooperative or mutually owned businesses. All project activities must be for the benefit of a rural area.
