Description:
The Saint-Gobain Corporation Foundation Direct Grants program supports nonprofit organizations in three major focus areas:
- Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM) Education, especially blue collar and non-traditional STEM programs.
- Habitat: The interaction between people, buildings and the environment or sustainable building (energy conservation and environmental concern)
- Local Communities: Community development, especially in the area of housing
Eligible applicants:
The Saint-Gobain Corporation Foundation makes charitable contributions to tax-exempt organizations covered by the IRS Code, Section 501(c)(3), and accredited colleges, universities, and secondary and elementary schools located within the United States.
It cannot grant gifts to the following:
- Individuals
- Organizations without 501(c)(3) status
- A single sectarian or denominational religious, veteran or fraternal organization, unless for a specific project that benefits the community
- Organizations that discriminate on the basis of sex, race, color, or religion
- Fundraising dinners and events
- Chairs or professorships
- Programs receiving significant United Way support in locations where Saint-Gobain makes an annual contribution to the United Way.
