Deadline: 2/13/22

Amount: $2,500-$10,000

Website: http://snapdragonbookfoundation.org/application/

Description:

Grants of up to $10,000 for PreK-12 school libraries to provide books to disadvantaged youth. Funding is intended to ensure that school libraries are still offering children good books to read. Applications must be connected to a specific project at a specific school.

Support may be used for:

  1. Books that will be used repeatedly by school-aged children through classroom libraries, central library (or something similar)
  2. Processing or cataloging fees from book vendors (for processing of the books ordered in conjunction with your Snapdragon project)
  3. Reference materials for use by students
  4. Magazine or newspaper subscriptions

The winners will be notified by email in May 2022 and checks will be mailed to the schools at that time. A list of the winners will also appear on the website. During September 2022 and throughout the school year, Snapdragon board members will schedule visits to awarded schools.

Eligible applicants:
