Description:

The purpose of the program is to support programs in the areas of children, youth, families, and community impact. Activities must benefit residents of Pueblo County. Funding is prioritized for organizations and programs located in Pueblo County and requests that are guided by community voice, culturally responsive, focus on equity, and best demonstrate community need and impact.

Desired Results for Children (ages prenatal to 8)

  1. Young children reach their developmental potential and are ready to succeed in school and in life.
  2. Environments that impact children (home, neighborhood, programs, school) are safe, stable, and supportive.
  3. Adults are knowledgeable, responsive, and interact effectively with and on behalf of children.

Desired Results for Youth (ages 9 to 18)

  1. Youth have strong, positive, stable connections to family, peers, school, supportive adults, and community.
  2. Youth have the skills and support needed to handle stress, manage emotions, and tackle everyday challenges.
  3. Youth are equipped to make informed decisions about their relationships and sexual health.

Desired Results for Families

  1. Families have safe, stable, affordable housing.
  2. Families have equitable access to the nutritious food needed to thrive and reach their full potential.
  3. Families have the support and resources needed to earn a self-sufficient wage.

Community Impact grants honor this legacy and aims to be responsive to changing community needs and priorities in the areas of:

  1. Art, history, and culture
  2. Education
  3. The environment
  4. Human services
  5. Mental health
  6. Senior services
