Description:
The purpose of this program is to support the field of theater for young audiences. The funding agency values the art of theater, children and youth, excellence, innovation, diversity, equity, and inclusion. Funding through this program will support the following:
- People: playwrights, directors, designers, and education directors engaged in a new initiative for a particular company or a new original play for children and youth
- Equipment: light boards, curtains, lights, and vehicles, and other equipment needed to improve theater quality
- Travel: bringing collaborative teams together, participating in a conference or workshop, or taking interesting people to interesting places for interesting purposes
Preference will be given to applicants and projects that work toward dismantling institutional and structural racism in the field of theater for young audiences.
