Deadline: 6/13/2018
Amount: $200,000 max
Description:
The purpose of this program is to support projects that will publish documentary editions of historical records, which may focus on the papers of major figures from American history or cover broad historical movements in politics, social reform, business, military, the arts, and other aspects of the national experience. Funding will support the collecting, describing, preserving, compiling, transcribing, annotating, editing, encoding, and publishing of documentary source materials online and in print. In order for a project to be eligible, the historical value of the records and their expected usefulness to broad audiences must justify the costs of the project. This program will support new projects as well as ongoing projects that have already received an award from the funding agency.
