The purpose of this program is to make opportunities for learning beyond high school available to all. The funding agency envisions a post-high school educational system that is easy to navigate, delivers fair results, and meets the nation’s need for talent through a broad range of credentials. The funding agency’s overarching goal is to prepare people for informed citizenship and for success in a global economy. The funding agency works toward a goal of 60 percent of Americans with a college degree, workforce certificate, or other high-quality credential beyond high school by 2025.
Projects should align with the funding agency’s outcomes-based approach that focuses on helping to design and build an equitable, accessible, responsive, and accountable post-high school education system for all.
