Two Weld County organizations, Consumer Credit Counseling and Faith Community Service Fund, each received a grant of more than $5,000 as part of the JVA Consulting’s Colorado Compassion Initiative.

In addition to the financial grants, organizations will receive group training and one-on-one technical assistance to strengthen their work capacity. These Weld organizations account for two out of six northern Colorado organizations to receive grants.

JVA was awarded funding from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Compassion Capitol Fund to help agencies serving and engaging baby boomers and older adults to help address community problems.

“We are so excited to be working with another fantastic group of grantees engaging and service boomers across the state,” said Jennifer Johnson, JVA’s director of Colorado Compassion Initiative. “Personally, I have been impressed by the passion of all applicants, many who work countless hours unpaid. I applaud their work and everyone at JVA is looking forward to building the capacity of all these wonderful organizations.”

JVA Consulting is partnering with United Way of Weld County and has chosen to provide training and technical assistance to the Rehabilitation and Visiting Nurse Association as well.
