Description:
The purpose of this program is to support pediatricians to build broad-based community partnerships to address unmet child health needs. Funding will support pediatricians or fellowship trainees for the initial implementation of, or to pilot, innovative and community-based initiatives that will increase children’s access to optimal health or well-being. Projects must meet the following requirements:
- Be new in the applicant’s community
- Provide services and/or outreach to children in the community, not just those served in the applicant’s practice
- Include plans for community partnerships, including partnerships with such individuals, groups, and organizations as grassroots associations, parents, caregivers or family members, faith-based groups, local businesses, local public health service agencies, non-governmental health agencies, and hospitals
- Include clearly described methods for measurement of project goals and objectives
