Following the tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut, we at JVA have been struggling with the same questions as the rest of the country. One of the biggest questions we continue to grapple with is: what can we as individuals, as a community and as a country do to make sure another event like this never happens again?
As complex as this issue is, one thing that we at JVA decided we can do right now is invite you to share your perspectives. We are inviting guest bloggers to join our conversation on Nonprofit Street to share ideas for what we can do moving forward.
I am continually amazed by the change-makers and social innovators that we at JVA meet every day through our work. When we are faced with unimaginable challenge and heartache from events like the Sandy Hook Elementary shooting, or the tragedy earlier this year in Aurora, I am comforted knowing our community is full of diverse, brilliant people who are relentlessly committed to strengthening community. By sharing your voices on our Nonprofit Street blog, we hope to leverage your wisdom and experience, and work toward solutions.
If you would like to submit a guest blog to be posted on Nonprofit Street, please email Amber Alarid at amber@jvaconsulting.com. Thank you.
