By Amber Alarid, JVA Consulting

This time of the year, you will hear about a lot of great causes and will likely find out about new organizations and programs that touch a special place in your heart. We at JVA have the great privilege of helping many amazing organizations and individuals to change the world all year long, but this time of year, we too are looking for more ways to give. A while back, I wrote a blog about a simple and stress free way to give back, and it’s something you may already be doing—regifting.

To sum it up quickly for those of you who may not have read the previous blog, regifting is not a bad word any more; in fact, regifting can be a cost-free and meaningful way to strengthen your social impact this season. If you have received gifts that you do not plan to use, rather than boxing them up or throwing them out, you can give them to charitable organizations that want and need them.

This December, JVA wants to help take the stigma out of regifting by hosting a month-long regifting for good event. Throughout  December and into the first week of January, we will be hosting a wish-list drive and welcoming our staff, friends, family, clients and community members to contribute “regift” items to a few of our amazing clients—Comitis Crisis Center, Denver Animal Shelter and VSA Colorado/Access Gallery. We have included their wish lists below, and they will be posted here at JVA, along with boxes where you can drop off the items. At the end of the wish list campaign, we will coordinate delivering the items to each organization. All are welcome to bring in wish list items for these organizations during our business hours (8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday), and from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, January 3.

Please feel free to contact us with any questions at 303.477.4896.
